Working with Sarah K. Conti Designs
Our design process begins with an introductory meeting to understand your dreams, tastes, lifestyle and goals, along with your estimated budget. During this meeting, we will survey the space, take measurements and photographs in order to develop a plan for your future project.
PREPARE & RESEARCH
With an understanding of the project scope in hand, we will research and prepare initial design concepts, including materials and resources to support the design concept. It is our mission to provide the highest quality products and the best value.
The next step is to present our design concept(s) for further discussion and possible refinement. Once you approve the concept(s), we will finalize the budget and develop an implementation plan.
We ensure quality by managing and coordinating contractors, vendors and suppliers every step of the way to ensure your design dream is brought to life.
We have known Sarah for over 10 years and have used her design services for projects at our home on three separate occasions. Sarah's natural talent, combined with her education in interior design, created the perfect mix for her to design and complete our projects.

About the Designer
Sarah K. Conti is an interior designer with over 27 years of experience, practicing independently for 19 years. Prior to opening her own firm in 2000, she worked for companies such as the Lane Group and Scalamandre' Silks in the Merchandise Mart, Chicago and Holly Hunt Ltd. in International Market Square in Minneapolis. While with Scalamandre' Silks, Sarah was the Illinois State territory sales representative, representing their line of contract fabrics. She worked closely with the facility managers of large corporate, transportation, hospitality and health care industries to provide and design appropriate fabrics for use in each of these distinct groups.
At Holly Hunt Ltd., Sarah had the unique opportunity to represent some of the design industries leading manufacturers of furniture, lighting, accessories and artwork. She was able to work closely with top interior designers and architects in the metro area, assisting them in the selection of fine goods for their clientele. Additionally, she oversaw all of customer service for the furniture division of Holly Hunt Ltd., Minneapolis. This afforded her the opportunity to learn details of manufacturing fine furniture and receive further training by visiting the factories of such companies as Boyd Lighting, Manheim Galleries and R. Jones.
Design has always been a passion of Sarah's and it was evident from an early age. She would look for ways to improve the function of her parent's home and ponder ways that it could be re-designed. She grew up watching and assisting her mother select wallpaper, paint, fabrics and drapery. Knowing her interest, Sarah's mother purchased books on kitchen design, remodeling and decorating styles. This fueled Sarah's passion and after high school she went on to pursue a degree in interior design.
Sarah graduated from the Interior Design program at Alexandria Technical College and went on to attend and graduate from the post-graduate Interior Environmental Specialist program where her studies were focused on color and lighting.
